Sometimes it seems as though men has it easier when following a set dress code; they put on a suit and they’re all set. If the situation is formal, they add a tie. If it's less formal, they lose the tie. But what about us women? What should we wear? A suit and tie? Sure! Why not?
Except of suit and tie, here are some other tips and tricks to follow when it comes to dressing appropriate for the Business Formal Dress Code.

Both skirt and pant suit are suitable for most businesses dress codes. The key to a suitable pant/skirt suit is fit, fabric, and comfort. A good suit will not only fit you well and look great, but it will also be comfortable to wear. Choose the fabric according to the season and climate you are living in; if it’s warm out, choose linen or cotton. If it’s colder out, choose wool (among other fabrics).
If a suit does not fit as it should it will look cheap and the look you're going for will be lost. To ensure a perfect fit, always have your suits made-to-measure. By choosing made-to-measure suits, the jacket and pants/skirt will fit your size and body shape perfectly.
BLOUSES & SHIRTS
What you wear underneath your suit is as important as the suit itself. It has to fit well and look appropriate to complement (and complete) your look. Choose a well-fitted blouse or shirt. Don’t choose a transparent fabric as it will not fit with the Business Formal dress code. Rather choose a fitted cotton shirt or quality micro-fiber blends for your blouse. If your blouse material is rather thin, wear a (tank-) top underneath it.
For a business formal attire accessories, think simple & sophisticated.
Keep it on the down side (less is more), try to avoid jewelry (bracelets) that make noises when typing or writing. Do consider adding cufflinks to your outfit as a piece of jewelry (when you customize your shirt, make sure it has a cuff for cufflinks!)
Do wear scarves! Choose ones made out of 100% silk. By adding a scarf to your business attire, you have a chance to add some color and “fun” to your look (show your personality) - if your suit and shirt colors are more conservative, choose a bright colored scarf!
